#SnakesAreGood
H.I.S.S. is a privately funded conservation organization dedicated to rescuing, documenting, relocating, and educating others on snake species in the southeastern United States.
WHAT WE DO
RESCUE
Whether we are out looking for them, or whether we get a call, our goal is to rescue these misunderstood creatures and give them their best shot at survival.
DOCUMENT
When we have a snake in our care, we take careful observations to ensure the snake is healthy and ready to be released back into the wild after the rescue. This also provides us with information on different snake species which helps us better educate others.
RELOCATE
Our main goal is to release these creatures back into their natural habitats. After careful observation we find a secluded area, away from people, and we release the snake back into the wild.
EDUCATE
Our passion is to educate others about these misundersood creatures. Snakes are good for the environment and mean no harm to humans.
How You Can Get Involved
There are countless ways you can help us in our mission.
We are privately funded and operated. While snakes are under our care, we feed them and house them which can be quite an expense.
RELOCATION SERVICE
If you have a snake around your home or business and want it gone, we will come catch it and relocate it in a rural habitat away from civilization.
We do not charge to do this, however donations are appreciated.
PURCHASE MERCH
All proceeds from our merchandise sales goes directly to caring for our snakes, and assists us in furthering our education program.
